There are off the beaten path streets that create wonderful outdoor volumes on a very human scale. Think about it...you take a narrow street, give it tiny sidewalks and small trees: you create an urban corridor that is now the footpath. On the pedestrian scale it's quite nice, at least for me. I'd rather walk down this street than the broad expanse of JFK with it's huge buildings and highway sized sidewalks.
This block is half of my chosen path of travel between the train and the office.
